Just wanted to post for all headed to WDW.
I just got back Friday night (8/19) from WDW. In the Fantasmic theater they had a WONDERFUL fruit and cheese platter for $12.75. It had 3 huge chocolate-dipped strawberries (those alone sell for 3.95 each, so basically the rest is free) brie and some mild yellow cheese, mini slices of a bread loaf, tart apple slices (Granny Smith?) and green grapes. The line was so long on the way in, I gave up and went on in, but stopped there on the way out and they still had one left. I took it home, and enjoyed it very much the next night after Extra Magic Hours. A totally delightful repast, and a great buy. Hope they have it next time I go, though by then they will probably realize it is under-priced, and charge more for 1/3 of what was in there.
If you are in the theater early enough, make sure to line up for this treat. SO worth the money.

Don't have my own picture, so tried to post one from rachael09985 report, but was unable to do so.

Thanks for adding more details about this since I wasn't there when my mom bought the platter! Ill post my pics for everyone!

Thank you for posting the pictures, Rachael.
If I had not seen it in your report, I never would have know to look for it.
It was great.

I don't know how long it has been there, but my guess is it is fairly new as it is still so cheap compared to what all you get.
Whenever I have checked the concession stands in Fantasmic theater in the past, it was the usual junk---popcorn, drinks, cotton candy, hotdogs & chips, beer, etc.
Nothing good, certainly nothing lovely and healthy.
I saw it in rachael09985 report, so looked for it when I went.
So glad she included it in her report.

Thanks for the info. It looks lovely. Our Fantasmic package "dinner" is at 3 pm at Hollywood Brown Derby. This may be just the thing to get DS8 thru Fantasmic show at 6:30, Osborne lights and back to our resort. Kid eats like a hummingbird (every 20 minutes). We will probably all need a Mickey bar after that which will cancel out any healthy effects. Oh well!

Looks very good but is it worth $12.95?

I wouldn't pay that for it!

It looks ok but must admit I have yet to find any decent cheese at WDW. I would buy it though at a lower cost, do you think its on the DDP as a CS credit..I would def go for it then.:)

Thank you for posting this. I am always up for a fruit and cheese plate. I'll have to get one when we go in a couple of weeks.

Thanks for the tip! Even if you don't want what Disney is serving, a fruit and cheese kit could fit in a backpack with some icepacks. Something to consider:earsboy:

They will not have Fantasmic the entire week we are there in January. I guess this will have to wait until our next trip. :sad1::sad1:

Do they sell any wine at the theatre? If not, is there somewhere nearby and could you bring it in? That would go well with the cheese plate.
