This isn't Disney-related but I'm so impressed with this I just had to share. I had the misfortune of getting behind a truck hauling pea gravel without a cover over the load. :furious: Consequently, I've been looking at little white paint chips on my brand new black car for about six months and finally decided to do something about it. I ordered a kit from Dr. Colorchip and it's amazing. The car finish is brilliant black and you can't even tell the chips were ever there.

Plus it's cheap. $48 shipped- WAY less than repainting the hood of the car.:thumbsup2

Hmm, sounds like something we should check out. Is it difficult to apply? And it's more than just a bottle of touchup paint?

It's a bottle of paint, plus a few things that really make it work well.

First, their website helps you find the exact paint for your car.

You put a dab of paint by the chip, use your finger to smear it into the chip, then remove the excess paint with a soft cloth saturated with a different formula they provide. Then buff with a microfiber cloth (they don't provide that, but most people have one, I guess).

It took a little practice- I got carried away and did all the chips at once, (probably not a great way to do something to a new Audi, but it worked out). They also give you a surgical glove to wear so you don't get your hands dirty. And, they give you a lot of paint, which they say has a shelf life of three years.

Honestly, so few things actually work as advertised, I just had to tell people about this. My car has a shiny black finish which shows every little freakin' thing, and I can't see these chips or any paint smears. At all.

Thanks! I'll have to check this out -- I just noticed an hour ago that it looks like someone either keyed my car or scratched it somehow. I was not happy.

I always wondered if this worked. We watch Velocity channel a lot and I guess bc it's a car channel they show this commercial a lot.

Oh, I'm sorry. That's really awful if it was intentional. I just don't get people sometimes.

What's funny is after I did this, my 8th grader came in and admitted he scratched the car with his French horn case, and showed me the scratch (which I had not noticed). I guess he felt he could come clean since it's so easily fixed now! :)
