We just returned from WDW and visited all 4 parks with the GAC and Stroller as Wheelchair tag. With the exception of one VERY rude CM, everyone else went above and beyond to make this trip an amazing one for my son, who is 6with a myriad of problems, including apraxia, very low muscle tone, huge sensory issues, light sensitivities and more.

We were treated like royalty during the whole visit and everyone went out of their way to accommodate our family. I just wanted to post and try to alleviate some new posters' fears about a trip. We went two years ago without these things (GAC and WC tag) and the trip was NOT the same. I wish I had learned about them sooner, as we had a pretty difficult trip the last time.

My son was able to do the things he wanted to do, at a pace and with accommodations that fit his needs perfectly. I will definitely be writing to Disney to let them know how much I appreciate how well we were treated.

My son is terrified of the parades, and this allowed him to watch in a non-crowded area, sitting in his stroller, where he could "hide" under the sunshade and peek out. I can tell you, he didn't miss a minute! Any other time we have attempted a parade, or other like event, he was a big mess and missed the whole thing.

So, kudos to Disney...they have figured this out right!

Glad to hear you had a good experience and thanks for posting about it to let us know. :cool1:
