I'm paying less than $200/night at a deluxe this fall through a TA's special deal. I THINK that's better than renting points but I'm not sure.

Seriously people...start name dropping your TA'sHow do I find a TA that has great deals???? The two I've used didn't have anything beyond what was being offered publicly from disney. What am I doing wrong?
I believe that some TAs have been banned from mention on these boards.Seriously people...start name dropping your TA's![]()
This seems like a good time for a reminder: If you wish to refer to a specific travel agency or other business in a post, you MUST use the full URL of the business, like this: www.thattravelagencyiused.com. This allows our filter to remove the names of business that may not be posted here. The use of nicknames, hints, etc to bypass the filter and promote a banned business is not permitted on the DISboards. See this post for more information:

how does a business get BANNED? are they scams?
For the last week of January my travel agent deal at Poly plus 8 day tickets is $143.41 more than renting points at a poly studio plus 8 day tickets. I'm going with the TA deal for the booking and payment flexibility.I was wondering, on the average deal put together by a TA, are WDW deluxe resort rooms better priced than say, renting points through a DVC rental website? I've always liked to just do all the deal hunting myself, but if a TA is privy to better deals than the average bear, I'd be willing to look into that.
I think people tend to forget this forum is run and maintained ($$) by Dreams Unlimited Travel. I can mention them correct?

I'm paying under $250 a night at the GF in 2 weeks.

Any discussion of another travel agency is just not going to be looked upon kindly and it's just not the right forum for it
I suppose someone could list off every TA they find on google in a single post here and see which ones get filteredI'm using that TA for two trips next year as their agency exclusive rates can't be beat. I've always booked my own and have been fine with it, but I want those low rates for deluxe! The Labor Day special is the best one of the year and lasts for several weeks, not just Labor Day week. And once the reservation is booked, it can be linked to MDE, so I'm back in control of things like fp and adrs. I can't give the name or hint, even in pm, but it is a large agency and easy to find with google.
Yes, exactly. This site is run and maintained by a travel agency. Any discussion of another travel agency is just not going to be looked upon kindly and it's just not the right forum for it. If you want to openly discuss travel agencies, non-TA run boards or FB pages are probably the best places to do it.
I don't think the moderator was trying to imply businesses who are banned from this privately run board are scams (that's why they referred you to the DIS rules). Any implication by the mods that a business is a scam would, most likely, be deemed libelous and would probably trigger letters from attorneys.
So have any of you gotten these amazing deals through Dreams Unlimited Travel? I would hope so!
But there are some TAs that book places (as has been mentioned here) like Poly at very low rates that cannot be named. Not sure why. Plenty of people get those rates and have fine vacations. But the TAs cannot be named or hinted at.
