I usually dont shop at Gymboree because they are so pricy, but my mom got my dd a dress from there for Christmas, and didnt get the shirt that goes underneath. I thought I would go in and check to see if they had one and how much it was, and they had all their summer clearance on sale for 6.99 or less.
I got dd 2 dresses (6.99 each), 2 shirts and 2 shorts that went together
(3.99 each) a sunvisor (.99 cents) and a pair of sunglasses (.99 cents). I also had a 20 percent off coupon from a magazine, so my total was $27.00:cool1:
The 2 dresses alone were originally 32.50 each:scared1:
I never found the shirt I went in for, but was so happy to get some new Disney outfits for dd for our May trip:banana::banana:
Just a heads up for anyone looking for a deal:thumbsup2

Just a heads up...they do that sale twice a year...it's called their Red Balloon Sale. Summer items right after Christmas. Then in June winter items. And every few days the stores will put out more merchandise so stop back in and you might find some more goodies. :goodvibes

If you pay attention, you can pretty much always buy Gymboree very cheap. There are regularly 20% off coupons in magazines like Parents, Parenting, and Family Fun. Those can be stacked on top of percent off sales that don't require coupons. For example, right before Christmas they had 50% off all full priced merchandise and Gymbucks earnings. So, you could have gotten $200 worth of clothing for $80 and earned $25 off a future purchase. They also had 20% off all sale prices and you could stack the 20% coupon on top of that.

My kids (well, my son, my daughter is too old for the styles) wear about 80% Gymboree and I typically pay less than Wal Mart or Target prices for it.

That's how I buy it too Dana! I've been shopping Gymboree since my oldest was born ( almost 16 :scared1:). Back then they didn't have the big sales, never coupons and gymbucks didn't exist. I spent a fortune on the girls clothes there when they were little! But now I find adorable outfits for my boys there for much cheaper than I would pay at Target....and the clothes last soo much longer!! :thumbsup2

Guess I should go in there more often....I never seem to get the huge discounted deals you guys speak of.

Our store clearances out al lthe summer stuff in the fall. We don't have an after christmas sale like that. maybe it depends on where you live?

I bought DS swim trunks today for 3.59 today and several wummer shirts fro that price. I love the red ballon sales. I was so disorganized I forgot my 20% off coupon too.

I've bought at Gymboree since DS#1 who is 17 and the deals are much better now than they were then.

I also have made friends with my store's manager and seh lets me go thru all the boxed up stuff in the back first. :thumbsup2

I just got 20 items for $58, plus $25 in Gymbucks for later (unfortunately I also had a 15% off coupon waiting at home that I forgot about ).

Anyway, some of the accessories were 90% off. My stuff includes 2 dresses, 4 shirts, 2 shorts, 1 capris, 1 skirt, some socks/tights, and lots of hair accessories for my DD. Good sale!

A few weeks ago, I also got a lot of sunglasses for .99 cents; they are really nice, too.

I bought - 2 pairs of pants, 1 pair of shorts, 2 short sleeve dress polo shirts, and long sleeve polo shirt for DS for $38 - that included tax. Thanks for the reminder about the sale.

jenseib~ I'm in Ohio as well. Alot of the summer merchandise is clearanced out in the fall..but alot of it is also put back in the stock room to be brought out for the sale. And if they did indeed go through all their summer inventory...then boxes of clearance merchandise are sent in just for these semi annual red balloon sales. Each store has a minimum of 12 boxes for the sale. But the majority of the stores have MUCH more than that. Especially in Ohio. For some reason Ohio is one of their top states for sales! My DH claims because I've kept them in business the last 16 years. :lmao:

I was in there a couple days ago, and found some GREAT deals! Only spent $30 and got about 6 or 7 items. But my best deal of the day was Old Navy. I found tshirts for my hubby at .97 each, a pair of jammie shorts for me for .47, and a pair of casual black pants for him for only .47! Crazy! :)

I love the RBS sale and got my dd5 summer wardrobe for $120. This includes 4 dresses, 3 capris with matching shirts, 5 shorts with matching shirts, skirt and shirt and matching hoodie, a pair of sandals, a skirt, a pair of shorts and 3 shirts (these last few things aren't matching sets). Nothing was more than $6.99!
