So, My DH knows someone with owns DVC. They are not going to be using them this year or next so he has 660 points available for us to rent. (going with SIL and her 2 kids also).

I have rented 3 times in the past all from the same lady and she always would rent to me for $10 a point, which was a great deal. So, kept trying to get answers from them on how much they want and they would never give us an answer. They said we have to stay in a 2 Bedroom for all the room there is. We have only stayed in Studio's before because they were the cheapest. Well, he is not renting by points - he is going to rent to us at $200 a night for any 2 Bedroom. So, for 7 nights that would be $1400. If I rented from someone else it would easily by $3100-$3800.

Our 7th Month mark is coming up on June 1st, so trying to figure out where to stay. They own at VWL but that doesn't interest me that much as being from Minnesota we have lodges everywhere. He likes OKW and it looks really nice but I think I am leaning towards BCV. We have stayed at BWV before and loved the closeness to Epcot and DHS. Also have stayed at AKV.

I guess we will have to wait and see what the availability is. Hoping we can get a 2 Bedroom, SIL will take whatever - 2bed, 1bed or Studio. Very excited....

My kids will be 14 an12 and SIL's kids will be 11 and 7. So, looking for any and all suggestions... Thanks.

BCV has a great location near epcot and a great pool.

BLT is a short walk from the MK and 2BRs at BLT (just like 2BRs at AKV-kidani village) have 3 bathrooms.

edited to add: OKW does have the largest 2BR units at 1400 sq ft (only 2 bathrooms though). other 2BRs are typically 1050-1150 sq ft.

I'd go to AKV Kidani for 3 bathrooms or BCV for the location. I don't love the decor of BCV as much as AKV but you can't beat being right by Epcot

I'm thinking BCV too. I really wanted to stay there last time but the other family we went with wanted BWV, so we stayed there.

They all have the pro's and con's but I like the beachy theme and the location is awesome. Plus we still have the boardwalk near by too.

Just so excited to be able to stay in a 2 Bedroom. Hoping there is availability at the 7th month window.

Our 3 top favorites:
#1. Beach Club Villas (love the pool, easy access to EPCOT)
#2. Boardwalk (excellent Night Life)
#3. Old Key West (near Hospitality House, largest rooms, very relaxing)

Enjoy whereever you choose, don't think you'll go wrong. :thumbsup2

I own at BCV but my favorites are at AKV. Having that extra bathroom with that many people makes a huge difference. Plus the dedicated 2 bedrooms there all have 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom; BCV's only have some with 2 beds and those are usually reserved at the 11 month mark.

If points aren't an issue, go for BLT lake view. It would be your best value in the situation, and lake view s squally available at 7 months

I thought of that too, but BLT doesn't do much for me. I really like the beachy themes and having the boardwalk close by also. Will try for Beach Club -hoping they have some available come November 1st...

Sounds like your mind is already made up. We also own at BCV, but prefer AKV and BLT. The 3rd bathroom is so great to have.

Yeah - I think it is made up (for now...). We will be in heaven just having 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms instead of the studio we usually get. Very excited for that. Have to keep other options open just in case we can't get into the Beach Club. Love the look of OKW but just not as convenient. We stayed at BWV a few times and loved being able to walk to Epcot plus all the activities going on around both resorts.

I know that there are really no views with BCV. So, am thinking of getting something on the 1st floor. Would they have something convenient to the Market Place? We use the refillable mugs alot. Also, would be nice to maybe overlook the quiet pool - can you just walk out your patio door to the pool?

No, you cannot walk to the pool from your patio. There is shrubbery surrounding the patio.

Darn it. Can you see the pool from the 1st floor? I'm assuming there is a back door there close by to get out?

Not only is there shrubbery, that is where snakes like to rest. I would never, ever walk through the shrubs anywhere in Florida.

That is how a young child got bit by a venomous snake at Disney, reaching into a shrub to retrieve a lost toy.

There are two doors towards the pool, one near the other set of elevators and one from the Breezeway.

There are rooms at Boardwalk Villas where you can go from your patio right to the quiet pool. Once when we were there, a man and woman were switching off sitting with a napping baby and playing with the older ones in the pool. It seemed very convienant.
