If you go through Amazon you can get the 250 watt KitchenAid stand mixer for $99!!! This is an awesome deal. I think there are some additional rebates that can be applied also. If you need the details on those you can go to www.fatwallet.com and look for one of the threads about the mixer. I have one already so I don't need another but it would be great for a wedding present or for your home if you have ever balked at the normal price. It is only for the white color but the price is amazing.

I couldn't find one for $99- maybe they are sold out. I could find one for $149.

Is the 250 Watt a good one? Someone told me not to bother with anything less than 325 watt. And I don't have a clue if I would even be able to tell the difference.

I think the 325 has a larger bowl that also has a arm on it that lifts the bowl up and down. I think mine is either 250 or 275 and I have had it for prob 12 or 13 years. I LOVE it!!!!

All of them have the same working parts, from what DH was able to find out. The same parts break on both sizes!

It says KitchenAid is excluded from the $20.00 GC option, I'm not sure if that means for future shipping or not. It does qualify for free shipping. I just checked and my SIL has a 375 wt, mine is a 300 or 275 and hers is much nicer (she uses hers much much more than I do). I have probably only used it 30 x in 10 years.......my little hand mixer is easier to clean for the small jobs and I hate seeing it out on the counter so I store it and it's a pain to get out. We want to get our mom one for Christmas but we want the 375 at least. Luckily we live near the Kitchenaid factory and the store has a lot of discounted models.
