Bethbuchall and Minniemousemom for creating the t-shirt designs for our upcoming trip! :cool1:  :cool1:
They are totally adorable designs and if I knew how to add them into this thread to show you, I totally would. Trust me, they are both great at what they do as I know a lot of you here are. I am envious of your talents. I just wanted to send out credit where credit is due.
I kind of went homemade t-shirt crazy here at my house. My DH even got in on it. We found some cheap and cool colored tagless t-shirts at Walmart and bought like 10 of them to share between the three of us that are going next month (did you catch that, we are going to WDW next month!!)
Now, I want to try to come up with an idea to create a design for my 17 year old son who decided to stay home this trip because it's not cool to vacation with his parents or baby sister anymore. If anyone has an idea for that one I would love to leave him a treat like that while we are gone. Of course it would have to be something that a 17 year-old young man would wear. I ask him just about everyday if he's changed his mind yet but NOPE, not gonna happen I don't think. It'll be a different kind of trip without him. I just know that Tigger and Mickey are going to ask me where he's at!
Have a Disney Day, Renee

Renee --

Our DDs 19 & 27 still vacation at WDW with us. The 19 yo is in college and the 27 yo lives in another city and has been traveling with us all the way through college and now in her work life too!

We have found that allowing them complete freedon while they are there has been the key to getting them to come along with us. If they want to get up and go into the parks, they can. But if they want to sleep away the day in the room, that is OK with us too. Also, they love Disney Quest and go there on their own quite often.

Maybe if you allow your son the freedom to choose what he wants to do while you are there (swim all day long instead of seeing the MK one more time) he might change his mind! Good luck!

We did that with him in 2004 when he was only 15. He only had to hang out with us for a couple meals and he wanted to go on a couple rides with my DH. Other than that, he hung out at Disney Quest and kind of did his own thing. For this trip, I already told him that he didn't have to hang with us 90% of the time and that he'd be able to do his own thing like the last time BUT he actually just wants to stay home and work. My parents are going to come and stay with him for a bit so I am not really worried about him too much. I will just really miss him. Thanks for the idea though!!
