Gratuitous transfer question

Hello,
My god mother, who is a very close family friend is gifting us her DVC contract. She doesn’t have children to pass it on to, and she’s no longer able to make the trip down there to enjoy it herself.

My question is: she’s not technically family. Is that going to be a problem for the gratuitous transfer? Are you only allowed to transfer your DVC contracts to family members or Disney doesn’t care?

I just tried a search on the member website and came up empty-handed. You might do well to call Member Administration and ask.
