Gratitude Post for my Pin Family!

As I was driving (I mean riding) home from our trip, thinking about all that had transpired, and all the fun I had, it occcurred to me how easy it is for us to get caught up in all our stresses and problems of our everyday life, and forget what we have to be thankful for.

I am truly blessed to have the friends I have here at home, and now, to have been so warmly welcomed into this wonderful, albeit a little crazy, pin family. When I went to my first pin meet at Vince's I was treated as if I were an old friend; and now I go to WDW--the big ocean!-- and I am welcomed and treated the same way! It's amazing! Do you know how long it's been since someone invited me to join them for New Year's Eve?? You didn't even know me,and yet you let me join you on such an important night--thank you so much for your warmth and your kindess. I could give the pins up--it's the people I can't do without! You guys are great!

Ruthie, it's not us... It's you. You have a warm heart and seem to bring out the best in us. It has been our pleasure to count you as one of our friends.

Ruthie, without a doubt one of the highlights of my trip was meeting you. I agree that it's the people that make this the best hobby (addiction) in the world. I know that as long as I get to spend time with those people throughout the year, my 2002 pin diet won't seem so bad.

Ruthie you are so right...the pins could go (You really said that???) I digress...but it's the people
that would be hard to give up...One of the best nights I remember having was New Years Eve
I am still sore from laughing...and one of the best parts was getting to meet you, and having
you there with us...

Just got back from the world..spent the day freezing w/ Laurie and Matt, and we all were talking
about how much fun we had, and your pin withdrawl.....are you better now??

Thanks for joining us and most of all letting us make fun of you and your hobby. It was so cool to watch you. It was like being a grandparent watching the little granchild open her gifts on Christmas Day. You breathed new life into all the everyday routine of pin collecting/trading that we locals see so often. You were really there for the fun of it, not the conquest. Thanks for adding to my pin experience. Just being able to watch from the sidelines. Hope you and yours stay well. You all need one another.
