We will be arriving from All Star Sports resort to MK to go over to Contemporary for breakfast with Chef Mickey. I suppose the only way to get her there on her ECV is by way of the Monorail? Otherwise we'd merely have to walk from the bus stop to the Contemporary?
Any other ideas?

I am confused on this one. Why do you think that the monorail is the only way for the ECV to get to the Contemporary? The EVC can be driven to the Contemporary from the MK bus stops. The EVC will need to to use the elevator either way to get to the 4th Floor.

If you take the path from the bus stops, you will have to go up from the lobby. If you take the monorail, you will have to go down a floor.

The only option for anyone using Disney transportation, ECV or not, to get to CR from MK is monorail or walk. Both are ECV accessible.

There could be an option for a taxi in some cases. I have seen vans (that can transport a scooter), but I'm not sure you'd want to go that route. Some scooters also can be taken apart (to fit in a trunk), but not most. At least not most of the rental scooters. For us, it was sometimes an option to go to dinner without the scooter, if we were just going back to our resort after dinner which would make a taxi more feasible.

If you take a bus from your hotel to MK, the walk is pretty short to CR. It is an easy distance for a scooter. From the bus stop- the monorail platform is in the opposite direction from CR. The walk from the MK bus stop to the Monorail ramp almost = the walk from the bus stop to CR, especially when you add in the time it takes for the elevators.

The biggest change is getting the scooter onto the bus.

If everyone else in your party is capable of walking less than 10 minutes from the bus stop to CR, why would your Grandmother not be able to drive it on her ecv? It's fully ecv accessible.

I would guess that the walk would be just as easy as the monorail as she would have to drive up the ramp at MK to get to monorail which can be difficult to make with ECV if crowded. would have everyone walk/ride from bus stop

We allow more like 15 to get from the bus stop to CR.

Betty R touched upon - or almost touched upon one other important point- buses are harder to beard than the monorail, but parking a scooter on a monorail is no picnic either. I've seen CM's willing to park scooters on buses. Guests have to navigate the monorail themselves. And when you add inconsiderate guests and strollers to the mix, fitting a scooter between the poles in the monorail cars can be tricky. When unloading a scooter, you also have to wait for a CM to bring over a potable metal ramp before you can de-board. Without that ramp you can't de-board a scooter.

I'd just have her ride the ECV from the bus stop to CR. It's almost as far to the monorail platform!
