We'll be at BWV the first week in December. We will be there with DD and her family which includes 3 year old Katie and 6 year old Austin. We are planning on letting Mom and Dad have a quiet dinner by themselves one night while we watch the grandkids. So, anybody have a suggestion as to what might be a good way to entertain the grandchildren while the kids go to dinner. We're in pretty good shape so we will be able to keep up with them for the most part (I'm a born optimist) :) . We've been thinking of Fantasia golf but I know how good you guys are at coming up with super ideas. Thanks. 8 days and a wake up.

hi: the mini golf is a neat idea. the walk to the golf course does entail crossing a semi-busy road, but as long as you hang onto the kids, it should be all right. depending on the weather, maybe a swim in the bwv quiet pool (they can go into community hall and play some games or borrow a video to watch in the room too), or luna park pool, or stormalong bay if you're up to the walk. there are also a few different "acts" along the bw-magicians, jugglers, etc. have a wonderful time, and remember- your only job is to spoil the grandkids!

I think you might be biting off a little more than you can chew with the golf and a 3 year old. I'd stay on the bw, the community hall is a great idea, the arcade, and maybe walk over to beaches and cream for some awesome icecream.:D

I think you will be better off hanging at the boardwalk. 3 & 6 is a little young for mini golf (We have kids 10,9,8,4).

There are some good places for Ice Cream - Seashore sweets.

There are midway games on the boardwalk, face painting This guy got face painted to entertain his grand kids and frequently entertainment.

DVC members can get free videos at community hall also there are some games at the community hall.

Shop for a suprise for mon & dad at the screen door amd get them some real silly souveneer.

We were there in Sept with 5 g-kids 12,8,6,5&4 (and their parents most times).....go out on the Boardwalk..face painting,jugglers,hair-wraps, etc. or go to the Community Hall, the oldest kids loved the place....enjoy....
