Has anyone been on the grand 1 yacht to watch the fireworks .How much was it? ,have seen different amounts from $399 (On the disney site) to people saying it was $900 -quite a jump in prices, and not cheap for an hour!!!.If you have done it do they advise you the best time to book it for the fireworks and do you get an exact hour or are they a bit flexible with timings. Was it worth it.Or is it worth considering the pontoon boats???

If what you are interested in is seeing and hearing the MK fireworks from the water (and your group is ten people or less,) you can certainly save money by booking one of the pontoon cruises.

Also, there's the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage.

The variance in price could be due in part to some people adding on extras like private dining and such that would be above and beyond the base price. So far as I recall, the price on Disney's site is just for the boat and driver, no extras (although it's been a couple years since I was pricing it, so that may have changed). Then they list some of the add ons you can purchase, for additional fees. We ultimately decided against it as we had a theme park view room at CR and just watched from there.

Just went to book this earlier this week. 2 hour minimum if you are booking for fireworks so the Grand 1 yacht was ~$900 and if I remember correctly, the pontoon boat was about $650. You pay at the time of booking. The yacht seats 18 and pontoon 10. There are some drinks/refreshments included but you can order food if you wish. There's a boat tour around seven seas lagoon plus fireworks. This is a first for us since this trip encompasses our anniversary and my birthday. Are you supposed to tip for something like this? How much???

The 10-guest pontoon cruise costs about $350.
It lasts approx. one hour. (It does not require a 2-hour minimum.)

I did the Pirates and Pals cruise before, and we had a lot of fun. But you only see the over head fireworks, you miss all the castle effects and such. Still a lot of fun. We also got to see the Electrical water pagent while on the boat.

Thank you,I thought $900 seemed a heck of a lot of money for 1hour. When you say there is drinks/refreshments is that on the grand1 or the pontoon?
