I got my waitlist for GV at BWV for 3/11-12, for which I'm very happy because now we'll be spending all 4 nights at BWV. However, when I was making my waitlist, I saw photos of the GV at AKV and they looked REALLY nice. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at a GV at AKV and are they as nice as the pictures show (with the flat screen TV by the jacuzzi, pool table, multiple balconies overlooking the Savannah...) and would it be worth it to try and change to this? This is my first trip, so I guess I don't know what to expect from either place. Thanks for any info!!

Have not stayed in one but got to go inside one and spend a little time looking around. These are the GVs at the Jambo building not the ones that will be at the Kidani building. All the Jambo GVs are single story; Kidani's will be two story; personal view is that single story GVs are much more impressive than two story (BWV has both and its single story is the more impressive unit). The Jambo GVs are the most impressive I have seen, and yes they have all the things you mention.

Whether you should change depends on more factors than that. With BWV, you get location as to two parks (walk to Epcot or Studios) and all GVs are boardwalk view, best non-animal view of any of the DVC resorts already open. Also, would recommend against the change for any stay between now and May. The reason: Kidani is under construction; two of the GVs face the Sunset savanna and thus face that construction and you can hear the construction from them in the day; also there will be no animals in the Sunset savanna between now and mid-April. If you tried to get a GV and were actually able to get one for March now (something that is probably highly unlikely to accomplish), you could be stuck in one of those that face Sunset savanna.

Thank you so much!!!!! I was wondering/worried about the construction and that completely answers my question, and I'm more than happy with the Boardwalk!!! Thanks again
