Grand Villa reservations

I was wondering what everyone thinks our chances of getting a grand villa at the 7 month mark for January 2011? We are thinking of trying for AKV or OKW.

GV's usually go at 11 month window but some have mentioned getting lucky at OKW and SSR. No such reports for AKV.

FWIW, I was on a WL for an AKV SV studio for Oct 7, 2008 (last year). About 2 or 3 months out, I called MS and they said the only availability at AKV for that day in any unit was a GV....

AKV GV's are fairly high points (although is BLT the high points king, now?) Also, isolated individual days could be much easier than an entire week...

I own at OKW but I've always booked our GV stays, 3 to date at the 7 month mark but they have all been for Jun/Jul vacations each time. I honestly don't know how hard it would be to book one for Jan. January isn't one of the businest times at Disney so maybe you would have good luck!

Depending on when you plan to go in Jan, it could be hard to get a GV at OKW. Anytime from Jan 1 - Jan 10 (includes the marathon time) could be hard. Or around MLK holiday time.

You have a reasonable chance. That time of the year usually fills more slowly than others. Good luck!
