It may actually not be as bad as it has been in the past, due to SSR.
If you want one at OKW (where they are significantly cheaper) it will be hard.
There is a way to get one at OKW possilby at the 11 month window, but you have to be willing to take some risk.
Find someone, with an OKW membership, that you can trade points with.
Since it is hard for OKW members to get reservations at BCV, you are likely to find someone willing to trade points.
I would offer to trade, but I don't have any points to trade. I borrow my points as soon as I can.
If there is some rule, that the same account can not transfer both in and out the same use year, this might be difficult (I don't remember the rules here, but I remember reading something like this).
You may have to do something like, transfer points into the account of someone you trust to make your OKW reservation
OR
Someone will have to trust you enough to transfer points into your account, and have you make their reservation.
You might be able to trade with multiple OKW owners to get enough points.
I am certain that if you post something on the rent/trade board, something can be worked out.
