Grand view lounge question

Has anyone done a bridesmaid tea at the Garden View lounge at the GF?

According to allearsnet.com, ( I looked at their menus) the lounge offers a cheese and fruit platter for $12.50, and an assorted tea sandwich platter for $8.50. I was wondering how big are these platters. Do you think one tray of each would be enough for 6 girls to snack on.

Also, do you know if you can order these platters as "to go" orders? I thought it might be nice for us to snack on while we are up in our rooms getting ready, or while we are just relaxing for the afternoon.

I will also post this thread to the restraunt board, but thought maybe some of you brides had tried this.

When I had my tea the platters were for each person. Nothing was enough to share. Everyone ordered their own thing and it seemed to be just enough. I cannot remember the name of the one I had but it included tea sandwhiches, pastries, and strawberries and cream..of course tea too. I believe it was 20.00. Soem other people just ordered strawberries and cream and some just got pastries. I do know it was 1 platter per person.

I agree I've seen that cheese and fruit platter and I could easily have that to myself same with the sandwich one. I love afternoon at the GF it's so fun.

I'm sure you could organise a couple of cheese and fruit plates through room service thought Meranda.
