Is anyone familiar with Grand Reserve in Davenport? I am renting a Villa there in June 07. I was wondering how far it is from WDW? I think its about 15 minutes away but not for sure. Also, do you know how far it is from MCO? I looked at several websites for houses and villas, and this villa had everything we wanted in it for a pretty reasonable price so we didn't really consider the drive times. We only plan on going to WDW for about 2 days, than maybe Universal or Seaworld. Can anyone tell me which park (Seaworld or Universal) would be better to go with my 3 yr old DD? I just want her to be able to have fun also. Any help of info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

We stayed at Grand Reserve in a 4 bedroom house last winter. It is a very nice, quiet area. The homes are less than 3 years old. It is an easy 15 min. away from Disney either using I- 4 or Old Lake Wilson Rd. We used Old Lake Wilson to get up to 192 then Sherberth to get to Disney. It will take you about 30 - 45 min to get to MCO. We took 417 to I-4 west then exit 58 at Champions Gate. and follow the directions you're given. There are other ways that you'll get familiar with while you're there. There's also a Publix and fast food at Champions Gate ( 5 min. from Grand Reserve). You can access the east end of 192 using the back roads to get to the Poincianna area. The extra time for travel didn't bother us at all. You have easy access to I-4 so there's not much difference in travel time then if you were at the west end of 192.
As for Universal or Sea World: I think Universal just for the fact that they have some great play areas and rides for little ones. Universal Islands of Adventure has a large Dr. Suess area which is great and lots of other things; Universal Studios has a good play area too. Sea World has shows with whales, dolphins and seals etc. which she would like but there's more to do at Universal. I know my grandchildren which are 3 and 1 would love Universal. Just my opinion, maybe someone else will differ.

Sympatico, would you mind to do a quick reveiw of the home you stayed in, maybe include a link, and post it on our Review Board?

We are just back from SW and I have to say they have a great play area for the little ones in the rear of the park near Shamu Stadium.

My daughter has not done rides and had a ball in this area and even did the shamu coaster. I was flawed. They have a couple of rides and a lot of climb on type structures. Also a place for diaper changes. We were very impressed.
