Grand Rapids restaurant help?

It's about a 15 minute drive from the center of downtown, less if the traffic is clear.

If you wanted something casual and a little silly, I would have suggested The Corner Bar, with their hot dog eating "hall of fame" and what not. There's nothing fancy about that place though.

I should mention that knowing the area is going to make a difference in how long it takes to get here from Grand Rapids. The expressway interchanges down there can be a little confusing. Also, if you plan for Timber's, you should know that it's about a 5-10 minute drive from downtown Rockford, an easy drive, but time you should plan for. Red's is right in downtown Rockford, right on the river and easy to find. Both have plenty of easy parking.
