I'm glad to hear that you have previously enjoyed Kona's breakfast! We are very impressed by the menu and have decided to do this as the one restaurant breakfast that we will do for the trip. We're really looking forward to it!

That breakfast os one of the best. The Big Kahuna is the perfect sampler but if I go again I think I'll just do the mac pancakes....YUM. That was the best part!

Got a question on the potstickers....only had duck once and that was 12 years ago and it was a mistake... I thought it was little chicken breasts :goodvibes

Were they gamey or overly ducky? Is there a strong flavor coming through or is it similar to dark meat chicken....

We will be at Kona in a few days and I really want to try these this time!

Was it duck? :confused3 See I didn't even know. These were so much more tender than the other potstickers I tried. No strong taste or anything. It was all delish. The sauce, the outside, the filling...all very very good. (And I am a very picky eater)

OOOH I love Kona!!! That kids dessert is way too cool lol!!!! When we saw that we were like WOW look at that lol.

That's the Kona Kone ? (Cone)....it's on the adult menu but the kids were sick of the "Hot Fudge Sundae" on the kids menu. All it consisted of was ice cream, mickey head sprinkles, and chocolate sauce. After about the 10th time I'd be grossed out too. So Sidney just ordered this and let them have it. He's so sweet. :lovestruc

Wow, I'm way late to the party, but I had to tell you how much I enjoyed all of your reviews! We are going to O'hanas, LTT, Sci-fi, and Yak and Yeti, among others and on Christmas we are going to dinner at Teppan Edo with the candlelight processional package! I'm so excited now!
Your children are so adorable! They looked so cute at the luau and dressed up at LTT! Your daughter makes the perfect Alice! She is soooooo cute! I loved the picture of your husband with the evil step mother, that was hilarious! Thanks so much for sharing your great pics and honest reviews!!

great reviews! Your kids are gorgey!

My DH LOOOOVED that club sandwich at Kona - I think its turkey bacon (which I hate) that gives it a different flavor.

Thank you. I was reading back over this report and felt that it was so boring. That's what happens when I do a trip report AND A Food report. The TR is a lot more exciting. We're doing the candlelight processional too....but at Garden Grill. I'm doing a lot of repeats in December (our favorites) so my mom and dad can do them. This will be their first time on the dining plan. I'm so excited. I can't wait.

Thanks. :cutie: Nope, wasn't the turkey bacon. We LOVE LOVE LOVE turkey bacon. It was some sort of sauce or veggie topping...something he'd never had before. The man loves a club sandwich and this was the first time I've ever seen him complain about food. The sandwich looked good anyway....

For dessert Sidney ordered this for the kids...(they were sick of the same ole junk on every kids menu)

And I ordered this...

It was sooooooooooooooo good! We love Kona despite the not so great club sandwich. We'll be back!

Next up...Mickey's Backyard BBQ

Is that the way they present a Kona Cone now??? And what is that other beautiful looking dessert?

We LOVE Teppan Edo too! In fact we ate there twice on our Honeymoon in June!! We even had the same chef. We are going back on Thanksgiving Day!

Thanks for all the great reviews!

That's how it came to us on September 5th. I think they may have changed the menus here recently. I'm not sure what this chocolate dessert was called but it was heavenly. Inside there was a liquid chocolate...OMG it was so good. One of the best chocolate desserts I've ever had in my life! I can't wait to eat at Kona again...

Oh that's cool...did you request him or get lucky? We're 7 this time. I wonder if they'll sit a stranger at our table. Last time we had these three people who never said a word. :lmao: You hear all this hoopla about Le Cellier but it;s only a matter of time before people figure out THIS is the place to get your steak at Epcot. Soooooooooo much better. We're going again in December. Can't wait.

Great review, can't wait for more.

I'll have a new one soon....

Awesome reviews. You helped me make up my mind on some places I wanted to try on our next trip. Great pics. Thanks!:thumbsup2

I know...it's been a long time and I am so sorry! Before I even finished the Aug/Sept trip we ended up booking December w/ free dining too. (So I will have a whole new dining report coming in the next few days!) In the meantime I am going to complete part one! I don't know how I forgot to add on Mickey's Backyard BBQ but I did.

This one is a dinner show. It takes two credits on the Disney Dining Plan. It is held over at Fort Wilderness on select nights during certain months.

This is a charater meal...it's a HUGE picnic with music, games, and dancin' too! The best part ALL THE ICE CREAM YOU CAN EAT!!!! Here is where I fell in love with the Minnie bar! This one, like the luau, includes some booze. Beer, Wine, etc. I passed. I don't want to be lit up with my three kiddos at Disney. :rotfl2: (Even though I needed it...)

It's outside, under a shelter. Not too hot though. They have fans going. I will say this....bring a table cover with you. These picnic tables are icky...you'll want a table cloth. I read this before going and ignored the advice. Eww! Do it. K? The baby LOVED this one! Would I do it again? Maybe...if we took friends. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pictures....

The food was pretty good! Not really my style but Sidney loved it! And as I said before...the ice cream was a nice touch! (On a hot September day...)

Tomorrow I will start with December! That one includes a Grand Gathering too! Until then...

Great report!

On those cute "monorail" style plates from Japan- they were selling them when we were there last July- but they were $68 so we passed on them. Especially since I imagined them shattering on the floor at home.

Wahoo! I just found your awesome report, Love it! Cant wait to read the rest :thumbsup2

I've enjoyed your report so far! Can't wait to read the rest. I loved seeing the Teppan Edo photos. We have that on our "list" for June.

Ooo thanks to your cool new signature I just found this report and of course had to read it. Great report so far, its making me so excited as we have a lot of the same places. Great to hear you loved Tusker House so much, and Teppan Edo as that is one of the ones I am most looking forward to. We loved Garden Grill loads too but the food was a bit different when we went. The character interaction there was top notch though, as was 1900 PF. I am glad I didn't change our Sci Fi ADR to 50's now too.

OMG :scared1: $68!? For a plate!? I bought one off of ebay for $5 plus shipping! :lmao: I guess I got myself a really good deal. I love Teppan Edo. They have the best food!

:goodvibes Thanks. By the end of the year it will be slammed packed with pictures! Stick with me.

You will love it! It's a must do now for family. (My kids made it one surprisingly enough!)

Ooo thanks to your cool new signature I just found this report and of course had to read it. Great report so far, its making me so excited as we have a lot of the same places. Do you like that? I had so many things I needed to keep up with so I was thinking...why not present it a neat organized way? It's so much easier to find stuff. You have a lot of threads too...this would work for you. I like it because it looks like buttons with links beside them. You need to do a dining report too! Great to hear you loved Tusker House so much, and Teppan Edo as that is one of the ones I am most looking forward to. We loved Garden Grill loads too but the food was a bit different when we went. They have changed a couple of things in the past three years. The character interaction there was top notch though, as was 1900 PF. I am glad I didn't change our Sci Fi ADR to 50's now too.

Let me say this...Sci Fi we only like for lunch. I do not like the dinner menu at all. I had a bad experience at 50's last time but we are giving it a second chance in August. I loved the theme of the place....it's tight in there but it's worth one more shot.
