Illuminations Dinner Food was good for buffet food. One of the chefs was English challenged and he served cold pasta and marinara sauce to my very picky ds who refused to let another bite pass his lips. Dinner was from countries: Morrocco (kind of spicy), Germany (schnitzel and spatzle) Italy (pasta) and China (stir fry--the best in my opinion) Kids buffet was Peanut butter and Jelly, Macaroni and Cheese and Dried out chicken fingers (I guess kids don't need vegetables).

Entertainment: Had potential to be very good, however the storyteller (Aunt Roz, I believe) was a little off her mark and seemed to enjoy talking with the DJ more than interacting with the families. Minnie and Goofy came out to play, dance and pose for pictures which was incredibly fun. (Unless of course you were my picky DS then it was incredibly terrifying.) (please keep in mind that I have 3ds and one dd or you will get confused)

Desert behind the gift shop was absolutely delicious although it lacked international flare (chocolate is a universal language though, isn't it?). Here we had the best seats to see Illuminations. It was wonderful! Our gathering had never seen them before so we were in awe. My dd's hs band played tapestry of nations last year in band so she was in heaven. Having my 12 year old ds hug me with tears in his eyes saying he understands the Disney magic was well worth the cost of this little gathering.
