In 2006 7 of us are planning a Disney trip. I have a good friend who lives in Orlando and she may join in to be #8 for GG.
Questions: there will be 4 adults and 3 kids plus my adult friend in Orlando - so if we got 2 rooms there would be 2 adults 2 kids in 1 and 3 adults 1 kid in the other - would that mean an extra charge for adult #3 in room 2? How much usually - $25/night or so? What if my friend doesn't actually plan on sleeping in the room, but just joins us for the events - I know we'd have to pay the extra charge for her, but it wouldn't be a problem otherwise, would it? I mean, how will the hotel know, or even care? where she actually sleeps?
If we stayed only 2 nights onsite (AKL), would we have to do our GG events on only the days we had valid room keys?
If we had to pay $50 (2 nights of extra person charges for my friend), are the GG events worth it? It would be $50 on top of the costs already charged for all the events, and if we did 2 or 3 events I'm just wondering if it would really be worth it. Are the GG events really special? The fireworks cruise sounds great! How about if we paid for my friend, but then tried to find someone nearer the time via the DIS who wanted to into our group - maybe we could then cancel my friend from the reservation and not have to pay the extra person charge? Would that work?
