Grand Gathering Trip

We are planning a Grand Gathering Trip for the 1st week in June. There will be 10 adults and 5 kids. We are trying to decide where we are going to stay. One family ( 2 adults & 3 kids) are going to stay at their condo/time share. So we are looking for somewhere for 6-8 adults and 2 kids (5 & 2).

I thought about renting points for a Treehouse Villa but don't know if we will even have a chance to get into one.

Would a studio and a 2-bedroom work?

It depends on the makeup of the 6 to 8 adults and how much privacy they need in their sleeping arrangements. If they are close family, then a 2 bedroom and a studio should work.

Not knowing the relationships, I'd suggest you and your kids in the second bedroom of the two bedroom. You MIL and FIL in the master and then either your aunt/cousin in the lving room or your BIL and SIL in the living room. Whoever doesn't get the living room of the 2 bedroom gets the studio.

You won't fit in a THV unless one of your kids is under the age of three. Then one of the adults will have to sleep in one of the bunk beds.

You might even want to go with two two bedroom villas, just for the space.

If you are renting points, why not rent now from a Saratoga owner and book the THV before the 7 month mark? It can be booked at just about 11 months right now.

Remember the third bedroom at THV have bunkbeds. That means if the OP's BIL & SIL also stay with them then one adult must sleep in a bunkbed and the 2 year old in the pack n play.

You'd have more bed options with a 2BR at either AKV or BLT as those 2 BRs sleep 9 (3 in the living room). However, the way to save points would be a two bed room and an studio at OKW. The studio would have two queen beds. And both villas would have lots of room. I'd check into renting from an OKW owner and book now. Or at the 7 month you can use points from any resort. The points are also cheaper in early June.
