Am I missing a thread for the Grand Gatherings? I wanted to see if anyone had done any of the Grand Gathering Experiences and what they thought of them. We are interested in the dessert one in EPCOT but wanted to see if anyone had done it with children. Is there a thread I am missing and if not can we make one?????

I'm curious also. We are planning on the Epcot illuminations and the Sunset Safari. I would like a little feedback from anyone's that's done them?

Does anyone have any feedback on any of the Grand Gathering Experiences?? I did a search and it took forever so I halted it.

Hi Reese:

If you are referring to the Wanyama Safari run out of the Animal Kingdom Lodge my wife & I experienced this wonderful tour on our last trip this past December.

You spend quite a bit of time going very slowing through the various savannahs, stopping frequently for pictures. The guides were great and provided a great deal of extremely interesting information and insights.

Afterwards you are treated to an outstanding dinner at Jikos where the food and wine keeps coming. The chef comes out with each course and explains to you everything... Dinner probably took between 1-1/2 to 2 hours and the group all had a blast.

Is it worth it? - YES!!!

If you have a questions please feel free to PM me.

Have a Great Trip,

Mark

I did the Magical Fireworks Voyage from the Contemporary this past Fall. I thought the cruise was amazing. I traveled with four families of 11 kids under 10. The kids enjoyed pirate onboard and the trivia like games he played. The kids who had the correct answers won pirate like gifts. Our pirate was hysterically funny. Wishes was fabulous and even though you were in the lake, you felt like you were right there. The audio was piped into the boat too. I would definitely say this cruise was well worth the money. I would do it again. The only downfall however, was the snack and dessert buffet. I had something else in mind but it ended up being some pre-packaged snacks with water bottles. A bit disappointing. I did love my pin that I got when we embarked and also Peter Pan who was waiting on the dock for us to return.
