Grand Gathering Safari Q's??

Anyone have any opinions on the safari offered with a dinner at Tusker House with live entertainment and characters that is offered for grand gatherings, 2 TS?????

Is it like the AKL safari, better or worse?
How are food choices at Tucker?
What live entertainment? Is it birds being displayed?
Which characters?

We did it last august. I didnt care for it. The food was an experience. I didnt care for it too much. Neither did my DH and he likes just about everything. The safari in my opinion is a little worse. By the time you get to do the safari that late most of the animals are hiding or in their "barns" and you dont get to see many. You get to see most of them when you do the regular safari. The guide does tell you quite a bit about the safari and will answer any questions you have. The entertainment is ok, but we were sitting in a section of the restaruant that you couldnt see anything. My kids didnt even get to see the animals so I couldnt tell you what they were. The characters were Rafiki and Timone. We did take pics with them and there was a lot of interaction and we got to spend quite a lot of time with them cause they were off in a separate room and I dont think a lot of people knew they were there. I'll not do it again, but if you have never done it then its worth a try, you may like it. Its better to give it a try and not like it than to not try it and always wonder....But you have to decide if it is worth the 2 TS. Hope I helped you a little!!! Have a good Trip!!!
