BOOHOO!!! We are coming in June to camp, but after reading all this I wanted to come on the 4th....THEY ARE SOLD OUT!! Which isn't a huge surprise since it sounds like so much fun!!! I really want the full Fort experience, & you all really sound like you know what you are doing!!!

If you would like to join in the insanity, I would keep calling and calling and calling, waiting for a reservation to cancel. They cancel everyday, but you have to hit them at the right time. It took me a while to get the Memorial Day ressie but I just kept calling. As far as the 4th, that was made a year in advance. Good luck and we hope to see you there. If you get a ressie, make sure you attach it to the grand gathering on the sticky.

Well we are back on again. Peg found out that 1 of her clients has a compettion in Disney the 1st week of July when we would have been there. On a whim, I told her to call and see if she could get our dates back. Surprise, surprise, she was able to get June 28th to July 8th. With the exception of an extra trip and a difference of over $2000 more, we are booked again. The house I am building should go into sheetrock around May 16th, so I am projecting June 20'ish for completion. This would give me a few extra days before we left. So now, all I have to do is come up with an extra $2000 or so in the next month and a half.........All of this for a golf cart parade and the Fort. Can't think of any better reason.

Ok well, we are back off for the 4th, just too little time and too much work going on, which is a good thing. So we have extended our trip for the end of the month, July 22nd to August 3rd. So if anyone needs a cabin, one is now available.

I can't wait! Also, is anyone doing the parade? We are going to keep ours Gator themed, but I just had a revelation: someone should have one done on behalf of the Dis'ers...go with the Long Live Musket Mickey Theme??? What do you guys think??? We could have whoever is driving their cart wear the Coonskin Hats-- and we could have the kids walk around the cart wearing the hats too...I have two hats to lend.
