Grand Gathering/dining/AAA/Recreation....what the heck?

We booked a grand gathering through AAA. So first off Disney tells me I need my Grand Gathering #, that AAA was supposed to give me that. I am trying to figure out what things we can take advantage of with the GG. I get the #, I make dining reservations through the dining #. I called to do the Epcot dinner special for GG people and dining transfers me to GG. They tell me AAA has to book that. I asked what the GG people do book and they say "dining" I asked how they pull the info for the super itinerary you are supposed to get and they tell me- "you tell us all the info, reservations, etc". I'm thinking Gee....I can use the one I typed and not waste my time telling you anything. I asked about booking tours...no- call recreation. I dont know if my AAA person is just brain dead - I have to pull info from them and it seems like if I dont ask about something specific I will not get any info at all....ever.

Sorry you are having difficulty getting your trip planned. We did a GG through AAA and a a very nice time, but DH and I were in charge of making the reservations so maybe that made a difference for us. Best wishes!

We've done Grand Gatherings twice, once with a group of 16, most recently with a group of 22. You need to go through group dining if you have a group larger than 10, that number is 1-407-939-7707. For any of the GG experiences you would need to call 1-407-WDW-PLAN. You will get a printout of everything you book with your final documents. It helps to have one person be the designated planner, otherwise it gets confusing if everyone tries to book things themselves. If you all don't want to dine all the time together, don't give the GG # when making those reservations, only those where you will all be there. Hope that helps!

Well I appreciate the responses. I am going to call AAA today and ask what it is they should be doing for me...as of now it hasnt been much!
