Grand Gathering Character Breakfast w/Food Allergies?

We are scheduled for the Good Morning Character Breakfast next week at Tony's Town Square and my son has life-threatening peanut and tree nut allergies. Has anyone eaten there before with food allergies? I wasn't too worried as most restaurants are fine with PN/TN allergies, and I know which we avoid. I've already submitted our ressies to special dining, etc.

My concern is because someone from Grand Gatherings called yesterday and told me that I need to talk to the chef to make sure that they can accomidate our allergies because it is a "set menu." I left a message for the chef right away, but have not heard back. From what I've seen before, this is a pretty standard breakfast.

I have travelled with family that have severe food allergies and have always found that Disney chefs will accomodate you whenever they can. If you don't hear from someone in a few days just call again. If you are going to arrive at DW prior to this ressie you can inquire directly at the restaurant. I am sure they will help you even if it means they make a separate plate of food for them.

yes it is a set menu -BUT I have gone a few time for GG's ( Tony's breakfast) I have an allergy to wheat /gluten and was able to get yummy stuff in place of the set menu. The chef has brought out my plate to avoid cross contact.
if you don't hear back please call again or as PP said check in when you
arrive at WDW and there should be no problem.
There are set menus at garden grill and other places too- I have never had an issues getting something made.
