Has anyone stayed at this villa? We're looking for an 8 bedroom place for a large family vacation and this one looked GREAT! If not, any other 8 bedroom villa recommendations.

If it is 8 bedrooms and in Formosa Gardens, chances are it will be top of the line...FG is the highest end rental developement in the area, and they would have only a very few 8 bedroom homes as it requires a special licence...so if you can afford it...go for it...location is excellent just off hwy 192 on Formosa Gardens Blvd....

Enjoy..Ted

Hi

How many people with you have coming along

An 8 bedroom home is still only licensed for 16, which is the same as a 7 bedroom home.

I have not stayed in Grand Formosa, but I know where it is, and have been past it many times, it looks great and has a wonderful view over the lake.

None of the other homes are as big as Grand Formosa, so if you want size, then this should meet your requirements.

We are looking at renting this home for our group of 18. It is an 8 bedroom home in Rolling Hills. They have a nice looking 7 bedroom home as well in Formosa Gardens.

We are staying here for our next trip. They have been great to work with. I will post a review when I come back. We stayed in a 7 bedroom in Formosa Gardens, Majestic Palace, I think is what it was called and it was phenomenal! Wanted to return but it was already booked when we started looking! :sad1: We wanted to be in Formosa Gardens again, but this one is in the next neighborhood over, so at least we know approx. times to the parks, stores, etc. This one (tigger's) is a little smaller in sq. ft than our last one, but with more rooms, so we figure the rooms must be smaller, but overall it looks fantastic and we are really looking forward to it! Great fun for the kids and lots of space to spread out!

This home is really small for 8 bedrooms, there only seems to be seating for 6 in the lounge area, and for dining, there are just about 18 seats including the bar stools. Outside is a problem as there looks to be 6 outside chairs and 5 loungers in the screen with a further 4 outside the screen.

I would certainly ask the owner if the 3200 sq ft includes or excludes the garage. Hopefully it excludes the garage.

The 7 bedroom homes at Formosa are 3300 sq ft excluding the garage, and grand formosa is approx 8000sq ft, so this should give you some idea of the scale of grand formosa. However, looking at the price its double the cost.

Having said all that it does look great, and if the seating arrangements work for you then go for it

The Tigger's Tree House was the only home I could find that was licensed for 18 people. Anyone know of another home that does that? We could rent 2 five bedroom homes in Windsor Hills for the same price I guess.

Did you notice that MOST of the beds are twin size in all of the bedrooms but 2, and the 3rd bedroom has a double and a twin, and all the rest are twin size beds? If you have a lot of Adults this may mean some bad sleeping and cranky people?

The Tiggers Tree house has 1 King, 3 queens and 1 double. We have 4 groups of 2 adults and 1 single adult. So we need 5 beds for adults which this has.

Were you looking at the right property?

That's correct! There are 8 bedrooms total. Four of them are what we call "adult" rooms (sounds strange, I know) and 4 are "kid" rooms - Pooh, Cars, Princess, and Mickey. They also have a double in the Mickey, we just refer to it as one of the "kid" rooms, as we know some of ours are definitely going to want to sleep in there. That room would work out great for a family who had a child too old for a crib, but not old enough to sleep in the same rooms with the older children.

The kid rooms look to be "filled" with beds, but our group of kids (8 kids all under 12) would be happy if they were all in the same room! We'll be lucky if we get to use all the rooms during our stay. Some of them might stay empty! They just have so much fun together! There looks to be plenty of seating for meals, as the dining table seats 8, then there are 4 bar stools, and a table in kind of a "lounge" area that we are going to make the "kids" table when we stay there! Plus, they provide high chairs. As far as seating outside goes, most everyone is in the pool anyway! Looks like plenty of seating to me! Looking forward to it! Staying in two 5 bedroom houses would definitely be more space as far as square footage goes, however our group likes to be together after all the kids have gone to sleep, so unless the houses are right next door to one another, that wouldn't work. I have seen a couple of houses that were side by side, but I think they were larger than 5 bedrooms - more like 6 or 7 bedrooms in each house! Talk about space! Oh well, Tigger's doesn't seem as big as an 8 bedroom should be, but still much bigger than a bunch of tiny hotel rooms!

Good luck!

In my searching, I found very few single homes for 18. My short list only has 3 on it! We'll be staying at this one next year- http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p163051 She's been great at answering emails thus far and has wonderful reviews. If you want the other two, let me know, I'll need to look up the links.

We booked Tigger's Tree House for our 2 week trip next year.

Hopefully it will be even nicer than it looks!

I will send you a review in about 2 months! Here's hoping it's as great as it seems!
