My girlfriend and I are celebrating our anniversary at the Grand Floridian this weekend and she is a huge Florida Gators fan, where would you recommend watching the game that is on ESPN @ 830 on Saturday night...The obvious choice is to go to ESPN Club at the Boardwalk, but we were curious if there were any bars/restaurants close or in the GF that we could go watch the game..thx

You’re right that Boardwalk would be a good choice if you want to stay on the WDW property.

If you have a way to make it off of the property you might consider visiting the Town Tavern in Celebration, FL. It would be about a 15 minute drive from GF. It’s not specifically a sports bar but they do have the large TVs and the atmosphere is good…it’s completely casual but still nice. If you visit on a nice day and you can take a walk around the lake and do some shopping downtown if you girlfriend likes that, and then have some dinner and watch the game.

There are probably better places in CFL to watch a game but it’s a good place none the less.

The Orlando Ale House......Hands down the best place to watch any sports action on Saturdays. They have great beer deals and amazing chicken nachos. Not to mention TV's take up any and all wall space! Plus this is where all the true local Gator fans will go. ESPN The Zone will be crowded and just a hassle. The Ale House is just past the crossroads marketplace on your left hand side.
