Grand Floridian to Tusker House before AK opens???

I will calling tomorrow AM to make my ADRs for our late September trip. We will be staying at Grand Floridian. When we visited last month, we stayed at SSR and had a car. In September we will be relying on WDW transportation. I think I have most of it figured out, but I am hoping for an early ADR at Donald's Safari breakfast at AK. I believe the earliest seating is around 8AM. I would guess we would need to leave GF by 7:30 AM. Is there bus transportation available at that hour? I found reference to "Character Breakfast" buses on the wdwinfo site. Has anyone done this? Thanks for your help!!

Sounds like you have it about right. There are special buses for the early ADR's.....just make sure you get on the right bus. I think you need to out for the bus closer to 7am...at 7:30 you would be pushing it a bit. It will take you 20 minutes minimum to go from GF to AK and then there is a bit of a hike from the bus to the restaurant.

When you book your ADR ask about the bus. I have always found the CM's that book dining very nice and full of info.

I'd call cab. It's what we do when we have ealry ADRs.

We will have two adults, one 4 year old and one 3 year old...can we take a cab? Is there a cab company you would recommend? Do they provide car seats?

Are the cabs usually available 24/7??

And are there cabs at the parks just in case the buses are jam packed?

Normally there are taxis hanging around at the parks and resorts. If there are none, they will call one for you at no charge.

And to the best of my knowledge, the taxis in the Orlando area do not have child seats.
