Has anyone been to the tea at the Grand Floridian. I am thinking of taking my daughter after doing the bibbidi bobbidi boutique at the Magic Kingdom. My son and husband will go do another park or if warm enough a water park as we are going at the end of January. Do I need to make reservations for this at this time of year?
My DD (13) & I went in August & we did have an ADR for 2pm, but honestly there were about 3 other tables occupied by the time we were done. That being said, I heard the Maitre D' ask someone that approached the podium for the name on the reservation & the lady replied that she didn't have one, so he said, "One moment, let me see what I can do." So what's my point?

I guess that even if they didn't LOOK busy, they may have had quite a few ADRs for 3pm & the tea room is small. I think you are better off having an ADR so you are not disappointed that you couldn't get in.

I was also wondering about this I would love to check this out with my brother and sister while DH and DS's are napping!!! Did you get the package or did you go a la carte? Thanks, ....what tea did you get?
My DD & I had lunch about an hour before tea so we weren't too hungry. She just ordered a coke & a couple of pastries. I was just going to order the finger sandwiches, but then I didn't want to miss out on the scones & I thought, "gee those pastries sure look good" so I ended up ordering the Grand Tea since it was less expensive then ordering everything a la carte & you get a glass of champagne so why not...right?

My DD kept stealing my sandwiches so I didn't eat too much of that, but the scone was so soft & moist & then when you add the clotted cream & raspberry jam....it was pure heaven!
As soon as we sat down my DD dropped her tea cup & clattered onto her saucer & what a noise it made! The waitress was so nice & welcoming & she just laughed & said, "Don't worry honey, I do that every day!" They are not stuffy at all & my DD had a blast. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
