Hi! Just a few ???'s.

If we take the monorail to GF from Epcot, how long of a walk is it to the Spa, which seems to be down a ways from the monorail drop off at the spa.

Has anyone booked a "My First Spa" or "My First Manicure"? Here's my question. We will be doing this after Epcot, and I'm wondering how strict they are about arrival times....will we have to cancel our appointment if we show up fifteen minutes late?

Finally, how is the set up for this service? My DD would like me to get a manicure with her while she is getting one. Is that possible?

Thanks!

When you take the monorail from Epcot you can either get off at the TTC and walk thru the Poly grounds and take the path around the lake to the spa. I think this could take up to 20 minutes to walk it if you are not a fast walker and if you stop to look around. Or you can switch monorails at the station and get on the resort loop monorail. If you do this, I would get off at the GF then and walk to the spa. This to could take 5-20 minutes depending how long the monorails are running.

You might just want to take a cab there. It would save a TON of time!!! They are pretty stricked about being late. In fact, they really want you there 15 minutes early.

Yes, you always want to get to a spa early -- you change and sit and relax and have a drink -- it's all part of the experience.

They also tend to be booked, so they can't run overtime with you and cut into the next person's appt, so you're only shortchanging yourself when you arrive late and the appt still ends at the appointed time.

The last thing a spa visit should be is rushed!

I was there this past week and would say it is a wonderful experience. Get there ahead of time and take advantage of the fruit, cold water, and ice tea before your manicure. I did not see the manicure rooms but know that pedicures are done together so I would guess you could book a manicure together.

When I walked to the monorail from the spa it took about 10 minutes- it ios almost at the wedding pavillion.

Plan at least an hour to get to the Spa from Epcot, that should get you there on time. You could always try to move your appointment back now, instead of having to worry about it.

My daughter has done the My First treatments but we have never had manicures side by side. If you call in advance this should be no problem... They do a very nice job.
If you are traveling from Epcot it will be very straightforward (take the mono to GF and walk to spa from the GF lobby (maybe 5 min.); however you do want to be punctual to get your money's worth and to have good spa etiquette ;) Personally, I would take a cab. It will cost abt. $15 plus tip and can drop you off in the spa parking lot - have them pull into the Wedding Pavilion...
Enjoy!
P.S. I always recommend getting to a spa AT LEAST 20 minutes before your appointment time. You don't get nearly as much out of the experience when you're rushed...
