grand floridian room views

can you see Cinderella castle really well from the balcony of a Grand Floridian room? How easy is it to get one of those rooms? Does anyone have a good pic of the view?

You would have to first be booked into a Magic Kingdom view room (Theme park view) Lagoon View is not the same as TP view (Some have been disappointed by this.)

The MK is a bit distant to the Grand Floridian, but you would be able to see parts of it. Unfortunately TP view does not always include a great view of the castle, all that's required to be called TP view is a view of the park...could easily be splash mountain instead of Cindy's castle.

Make sure to book TP if you really want that view, and put Castle in the requests, and then at check in verify what your view really is.

The Castle view from GF is a side view. IMO, the Castle views from the Poly are much better because they are front and center views.

We had a nice view of the Castle from Boca Chica, so you might want to request that building. I've heard Sago Cay also has castle views but I can't vouch for that personally.

We prefer the overall feel of the GF, but I have to admit I think the Poly has a better MK castle view from the rooms. This was our view from the GF main building. I can't seem to upload the Poly one.

We have had 2 incredible views from the GF, especially from Boca Chica. Once was on the 2nd or 3rd floor from a corner room -- with balconies on both sides! The other was from a ground-floor room near the elevator. Both times we could see the castle perfectly, watch the fireworks and Water Pageant from our balcony, and see the Poly and Contemporary. I think you get great views from the GF (I think maybe better from some outer builidings than the main one). We've seen the view from the Poly beach and that one was nice, too.

Just make sure to book a MK view (that didn't exist when we went) and then request a castle view at that time and then again when you check in. They have always tried to be very accomodating there. It is a beautiful resort -- enjoy!

We had a wonderful view of the MK from Big Pine Key.

We also had a wonderful view of the Castle from the second floor in Sago Cay. We requested a view of the castle when we made our boooking and ended up being thrilled with the view!
