Does private dining do hors d'oeuvres or cheese and fruit platters? I'd like something for my dh and I when we are there alone this weekend.

You COULD do small stuff, but $95+butler+tax+tip per person is a bit much for cheese and crackers.

I think she may have meant "in room dining", not the actual private dining.
If so, the answer is yes, they have shrimp cocktail, fruit plate, etc...not sure about cheeses but I'd bet they can do that.

If you have your own car you could always go get platters made at publix... But the fridges in room are small so they might be hard to keep fresh.

I believe there also is a panera bread in the area that delivers. A lot of Disney brides get that delivered the morning of their weddings... That's how I know.

Grand floridian private dining is very expensive... There also is room service. I know they have a fruit plate for breakfast but not sure about cheese.

I had a cheese plate delivered to the cabana at GF (called in to dining from a phone inside the cabana). I was not impressed with it at all. I don't know if a room platter would be better but I would not recommend the one I had delivered to the cabana.

1) Gosh, I hope not.
2) We stay at GF several times per year.
3) I am significantly underwhelmed by the food quality of room service.
4) Which is surprising for such an upscale hotel.

Thanks for this. I'll probably skip it and just hit publix and pick up my own provisions. We are in a one bedroom and I can put on a nice spread.
