I have not heard of this before. We, too, are staying at GF in September. Is this like a cabana rental without the cabana? May I ask how much it costs? What else is included? Tia!
THANK YOU! I knew I'd seen details about the amenities somewhere on these boards, but I couldn't remember where! I appreciate the info!Hi there. Here’s the information.
POOLSIDE PATIO AMENITIES:
- Padded lounge chairs
- Padded sectional couch
- Snack Basket
- Complimentary sodas and water
The pool bar CM is fabulous and typically walks the entire area asking if you need anything, so you should be able to place an order with him! Enjoy it!!

Cabanas are located at the Beaches pool & the poolside patios are located at the Courtyard & aquatic play area. I liked that the patios are closer to the Courtyard pool's zero entry pool because I have little ones that love to splash in that area. Plus, my mom needs lots of breaks from the sun, so the large umbrella and seating area seem perfect for that. Waters, snacks, & attendant are a great bonus. I'll snap some pictures when we got in July and share them.I have not heard of this before. We, too, are staying at GF in September. Is this like a cabana rental without the cabana? If you go over to PAGE 1 of the GF thread, there is pricing, pictures and information about the different types of rentals available at GF. There are Cabanas, Poolside Patios and Splash Pad Premium Seating (poolside patios but next to the splash pad!) The two patio areas are pretty much just cushioned chairs with large umbrellas in your own little space. They are less expensive than cabanas at $159.75 (price may vary) for a full day and can be booked at 60 days out. If you have any additional questions, you can ask on the Grand Floridian board and we’ll be happy to help!
After seeing your post, I went from hmmmmm maybe! To "forget about it". LOLLOL....they're NOT $160 in August! Just booked for $270! OUCH

I just booked a poolside patio for Saturday Aug 28 and the cost was $159. I booked the splash pad area to accommodate my group of 8 which includes 2 littles (and am now re-thinking it because I'm not sure I want to be at the splash pad area after all). Then again, group of 8... kids want to be by the beaches pool... ugh... Anyway, cost was $159.LOL....they're NOT $160 in August! Just booked for $270! OUCH

Hmmm....splash pad area at the Beaches pool may be different than the one I booked at the Courtyard pool?
Wow - so your Courtyard Poolside Patio was $270 and my Beaches (splash pad) Poolside Patio was $159. Interesting. It could be worth the additional $100 not to have to hear the "dumping mad hatter hat" at the splashpad area every 20 minutes (or whatever it is)... LOL. I'd far prefer to be at the Courtyard, myself, if not for the kiddos in my group... edited to add that the $270 charge for the courtyard patio area would probably put it out of the running for me.Hmmm....splash pad area at the Beaches pool may be different than the one I booked at the Courtyard pool?
Will do! All prior times I went, I had no trouble getting pool chairs at the Courtyard pool near an umbrella, but I usually go October through May. It's been years since I've gone in the summer. These sound perfect for my DH and I. I need shade Let me know what you think!
LOL....I agree. It's a quieter pool (so I hear?), there's a pool bar, and our patio rental includes soft drinks, snacks, table with a huge umbrella, sofa, two lounge chairs. We would have NEVER been able to do this when our kids were in tow. One of the benefits of being empty nesters for sure!Wow - so your Courtyard Poolside Patio was $270 and my Beaches (splash pad) Poolside Patio was $159. Interesting. Just saw this - so what was your actual cost for the courtyard poolside patio? Was the 270 you were quoted the cost of a cabana?UPDATE TO MY POST! I was overcharged! Apparently, when I called to book the courtyard patio, the cast member didn't see it as a choice in the drop down and booked us a cabana instead....for 2 days! A cast member today was able to correct one of our cabana rentals to the patio, and we're getting a $110 refund, but there isn't a patio available for the second day.
