Grand Floridian Or Poly

I agree. I would go for the Garden View Concierge. You can always walk to the beach for a view of the MK. Between non-concierge MK view and concierge without the MK view, i would definitely take concierge.

Hi

Thanks for your help. We will be booking Poly Garden View Concierge. Cant wait till they release dates for May 2007 so we can book. I think we will book with Disney direct the prices were good. We will be booking 3 nights instead of 2 yipee!

As someone who has stayed at both resorts (and loved them!), I can tell you that there's nothing ike a stroll around the Poly at night time when the flares are lit- it's so romantic.. Great views of the MK, and I personally prefer the beach set-up at the Poly- the GF's beach doesn't feel quite as secluded..
When we were last in the GF the pool area felt very busy, as there was a large convention based there (now, that's a job I want!!); and I just feel that while the Poly isn't as overtly luxurious, it does have some fantastic benefits.. Either way, it's a lovely walk around to the GF to enjoy all their delights (fine dining, fine dining, fine dining... :cloud9: )

I can't wait!! Roll on August!!

We stayed at GF 2 weeks ago and we booked a garden view room and were upgraded to an MK view which was fantastic. I believe that they upgrade people on a first come first serve basis if they have the room. We checked in just after mid-day! We totally loved our stay at this hotel and were only there for 2 nights, sadly! We will definite go back to GF It is close enough for MK but also very quite and peaceful as well.

Have visited both these hotels more than once during stays at WDW. We liked Kona Cafe at the Poly, and have eaten there for breakfast and dinner on numerous occasions. Can't say I would choose to eat at the GF. I also found the atmosphere at the GF to be much more stuffy than at the Poly, and like one other poster said, I would agree I would have a hard time relaxing here. It felt way too british, in all the wrong ways. Incidentally I stay at WL and would choose to stay there hands down in comparison to the others every time. Last time we stayed concierge and it was awesome and well worth the price difference - tho not cheap at $535 per night. The continental breakfast was the best bit, and the view from the concierge lounge on the 7th floor overlooking the lobby is just awesome. Sorry, I just had to mention it because I was so excited!!!

Hello,

I was a disney bride in Nov 2004 and stayed in the Grand Floridian and we had the time of our life. They looked after us in each way possible but that is disney for you.

I never went in the Poly but looks very nice also.

Enjoy planning.
