IPO sent me an email telling me that cordials are now gone from SL. I was venting my concern to them about the deli meats and they also implied about the cordials.
One cast member I spoke with said the new GM is really into Trip Advisor and reads it daily. They said the best way to make our voices heard if we are unhappy with the changes is to post on Trip Advisor. The new GM wants to get the hotel into the top 10 on Trip Advisor and apparently the ranking are increasing. Therefore she thinks her "changes" are a good thing, she saves money on cutting things and the resort rankings keep going up.
I found the eggs they provide at CL to be the consistency of rubber. They really do overcook them.... and added them to a croissant in the morning instead of that stupid dried plain boiled egg. BLEECHHT!!!!

omg, they must be old!The eggs are probably pre-cooked from a food distributor company. This is what they do in some restaurants to save money and time. Yuk.

Why are the rankings are increasing with the cutbacks? I'm confused.

This is the first I've heard about evening cordials being gone! Is this across the board at all CL's now? We were just at RPC last month and the cold cut platter was still there and also the evening cordials were still there. So this must be something very recent.
I do hope everyone is submitting their concerns/feedback via email to guest relations. Hoping that if they get enough complaints/suggestions that they will take note!
I haven't seen any reports (prior to this) of the evening cordials being gone, either. Someone did report recently (I think on the CL thread) that there weren't any meats at breakfast one morning, but then they appeared the next day. Taking things away and trying to save money is one thing, but taking away perks/services AND increasing rates is so wrong.
On the WDW website for Club Level Room Amenities the only resort still showing Evening Cordials is BWI. The Evening Cordials is missing from every other resort with Club Level rooms. Shortly after removing the Turndown Service from the Amenities list for AKL CL Rooms, the Turndown Service went to by request only. Not sure what's going on.
Well, the rankings of the hotel are mainly non-CL guests therefore CL cutbacks don't matter to them. So if non-CL guests are ranking GF higher or more of them are posting opinions to TA the CL cutbacks won't matter. (I did see some disappointed SL CL reports from recently. Posting there might serve the dual purpose of informing the GM people are noticing her CL cutbacks and warning future guests to think twice about such a splurge.)Why are the rankings are increasing with the cutbacks? I'm confused.
Oh, forgot to add, cordials were gone. They had them at AKL in December, but I think all these cutbacks are very recent having to do with the China disney issues.
Wine, Beer and Champagne only...Are there any alcoholic beverages at the dessert hour? The cordials in the evening was my husband's favorite things. After a long day in the parks, he liked sitting in the lounge with some brandy before bed. If they have indeed gotten rid of this, our next visit this July will be our last for club level.
That is so disappointing to hear. The lunch meat was important to us. Carbs do not equal breakfast. I thought the lunch meat would be great to get protein into my son. The cordials and breakfast were part of the reason why we booked. We will only be there pretty much for breakfast and drinks at the end of the night. Is the champagne still there?
