Grand Floridian Cafe

made a dinner reservation here - really wanted 1900 but there were no openings -

anyway - any comments (positive or negative) would be appreciated

figured this may be the only way we get to experience the Grand Flordian because, until i hit the lottery, we are doomed to value resorts (5 in our family)

Only been once but I like this place. Casual, seated quickly and not too expensive. I like to do what you do, stay at something less expensive (mods for us or even offsite) but dine at some deluxes. I like to valet to really feel like we are indulging on our visit. Check out the resort, listen to piano player, even circle the resorts on the monorail. We usually check out the gamerooms and spend a few dollars there. You won't have to worry about 3 hr limit with valet but you probably won't need more than 3 hours to dine and explore resort. To get the biggest bang for valet fee (especially if this is your non park day or you are done with parks for the day and still have energy), keep your valet ticket as it is good for the rest of the day. Go to the Beach club, valet there (you'll still need to tip of course but a couple of bucks to enjoy this perk and the resort is nice) and get some ice cream for dessert at Beaches and Cream (gameroom next door).

The GFC is really nice we visit here a few times during our 14 night stays. I really recommend the GF club sandwich-yummy!

I have eaten at the Grand Floridian Cafe a few times and always enjoyed it though I did have a rather bland steak one time... the rest of my meal was good and everyone else loved what they had. They make a great burger. Other than the characters at 1900 Park Faire I like the atmosphere at GFC better. It is nicer a bit more spacious and a tad quieter.

The Grand Floridian Cafe ranks as one of my favorite dining spots in wdw. I love to sneak out of MK for a nice leisurely lunch there. The food and service has always been great and its more quiet than 1900.
