We are scheduled to eat at the Grand Floridian Cafe for supper the night of our arrival. Just wondered how the meal was and do the have a good menu.

I've never done dinner there but I've had both breakfast and lunch at the GF cafe and have really enjoyed it. I think lunch there is one of Disney dining's best kept secrets. It have not gotten a lot of traction with the on-line Disney community, so it is still relatively easy to get an ADR and we find that it is not as busy and a little more intimate than the other restuarants at the GF. The food has been top notch and we have had no complaints about the service. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as we do :goodvibes

We've eaten there a bunch this year - we did our wedding trip at the GF and ate at the cafe for 4 or 5 meals that week. The dinner menu is very good and reasonably priced. We did find the service a little slow, but if you're not doing anything else that night anyway, no big deal.

Thanks for the info. I enjoyed your pictures. My only concern is my kids. One will eat the grilled chicken. The other will probably want a cheese burger so I guess I will ask if they can make him one. Otherwise he will eat the pizza without the chicken. I wish they weren't so picky. Everything looks good to me. You made me feel better about my selection.

I ate lunch here solo and LOVED it!! I walked up last minute and had a fantastic meal!

We too love the Grand Floridain Cafe.:goodvibes We have always had a great meal with great service. We tried it on a whim a couple of years ago and fell in love with it and now do it each trip. We will be eating there in just over 2 weeks!!! YAY!

We really enjoy the Grand Floridian Cafe. It's one of our Go-to restaurants for lunch when we don't have an ADR. There usually isn't an issue being seated, the restaurant is quiet and relaxing and we always enjoy the quality of the food.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I really liked the lunch there I had a few months ago.

We ate here last Saturday for dinner and it was fantastic. It was probably my favorite meal of the trip (even including Le Cellier). Excellent food and great service - I wish we could remember our server's name, she was the best server of the trip and really made the meal experience even better. This will definitely be one we'll repeat next trip!

I'm so pleased to read all the good reviews, our DS's are doing the pirate cruise from GF marina and I thought DH & myself could try and have brunch here.

From reading the reviews I'm guessing I should be ok to just turn up without a ADR?

We have eaten late lunch there a couple times, and the food is excellent. However, both times, our service has been slow, so don't expect it to be a fast meal at all. A couple weeks ago when we ate there, our server was horrible, but the food was still great.

As for having no ADRs, I think you would be better off making one, just in case. First week of Dec., low crowds, no special dining deals, not a normal "lunch" time, and they were not taking walk-ups.

Same with us! We really like the food and atmosphere, but on our last trip in May, our service was horrendous! The server made major errors with the Dining Plan and tip, dropped food on my daughter, messed up meals, slow, etc. It was not a pretty sight. We will go back, and hopefully, this server is not there!

Happy eating, Tiger :)

Still doing the :laundy: :thumbsup2

We ate there for lunch Black Friday 07(Friday after Thanksgiving). Food was good but the service was SLOOOOOOOOW! Not many tables full, would hate to be there when it was busy. Yet another WDW that I have no desire to go back to. Even if I was staying at the GF.

I :lovestruc the laundry myself! Usually our service has been ok, it's a nice relaxing dinner, but this last time was just a wacky experience for service.

Have fun with your laundry - just did a load myself! Tiger :)

We ate dinner there for the first time this November. We had 7:30 reservations and sat down right about 7:30. Our waiter David was extremely friendly. The food was great. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was actually medium rare which was great. I usually have to say rare to get medium rare. Soup was great. My DGF ordered the pork chop and it may have been the juiciest pork chop we ever had. (We because I always eat half her meal  ) Dessert was great as well. David missed bringing me a glass of wine and removed the soup from the bill without us asking. We were not upset about the wine at all. Already planning to get back there next September. ;)

We ate breakfast there twice on our last trip. We had only had planned ADR's for one day, but the stuffed croissant was so good that we cancelled our ADR for Cape May and went back to GFC instead. I agree about the the slow service, but the food was worth the wait.

We ate there last week on our first night. I guess I was a little less impressed. The service was slow, and it was the loudest meal of the week.It was really loud, and tables were very close. My parents had the steak, and i think they enjoyed the actual food, but not the experience.

Ate there in April and the food was very good as usual. However our waitress was the worst we've ever had in 25 years of going to wdw
