We are scheduled to eat at the Grand Floridian Cafe for supper the night of our arrival. Just wondered how the meal was and do the have a good menu.

We have always had a great meal with great service. We tried it on a whim a couple of years ago and fell in love with it and now do it each trip. We will be eating there in just over 2 weeks!!! YAY!We have eaten late lunch there a couple times, and the food is excellent. However, both times, our service has been slow, so don't expect it to be a fast meal at all. A couple weeks ago when we ate there, our server was horrible, but the food was still great.
As for having no ADRs, I think you would be better off making one, just in case. First week of Dec., low crowds, no special dining deals, not a normal "lunch" time, and they were not taking walk-ups.

Same with us! We really like the food and atmosphere, but on our last trip in May, our service was horrendous! The server made major errors with the Dining Plan and tip, dropped food on my daughter, messed up meals, slow, etc. It was not a pretty sight. We will go back, and hopefully, this server is not there!
Happy eating, Tiger![]()

We ate there for lunch Black Friday 07(Friday after Thanksgiving). Food was good but the service was SLOOOOOOOOW! Not many tables full, would hate to be there when it was busy. Yet another WDW that I have no desire to go back to. Even if I was staying at the GF.
the laundry myself! Usually our service has been ok, it's a nice relaxing dinner, but this last time was just a wacky experience for service.
) Dessert was great as well. David missed bringing me a glass of wine and removed the soup from the bill without us asking. We were not upset about the wine at all. Already planning to get back there next September.
