Booked adrs for Grand floridian cafe,after looking at menu.When on phone was told that as park fare was shut there will be Characters about.Dose that mean it will now be a buffet meal rather than a menu?.Wasnt that bothered about Characters but am woried about haveing a buffet

No, while the Grand Floridian is hosting the 1900 Park Fare character meals during the refurb of 1900 PF, the meals are supposed to be preplated, not buffet style. I haven't seen what the menus will be, though. Also, during that time, I think Citrico's is supposed to be expanding their menu to include some of the types of dishes that are normally served at GFC. But Citrico's is still a signature restaurant, and would take two TS credits on the dining plan, so not sure how that will work.

I've read on the DIS that Citricos will serve breakfast and lunch as a one TS credit with a menu like the current GFCafe. Dinner will still be 2TS signature Citricos style meal.

That happened to me today! I went to make lunch ADRs for GF Cafe, and they told me it was closed, I'd have to eat lunch at Citricos, except it's not Citricos food, it's GFC food AT Citricos... if that makes sense? So basically, while I'll Citricos, I won't be eating mediterranean stuff from their menu, it will be Cobb salads, burgers, etc.

What date are you trying for? We have breakfast reservations at the GF Cafe on June 5th.

1900 Park Fare is still open in June. It closes sometime in July as I recall. That's when GFCafe takes over.

so the menue will be differnt from whats posted now,but wont be buffet.As going august someone will post menus so will get info before we go,so would make mind up then

2 days after our 12 day vacation is over! So sad!!!

If you call Disney Dining they have the menu for GF as 1900 PF.

Adults have a choice of appetizer: strawberry soup, soup of the day, salad.

Choice of entree: prime rib w/mashed potatoes, shrimp proscuitto penne pasta, roast pork, chicken breast, vegetarian tofu dish... there was more but I don't remember it all.

Dessert is a shared plate of assorted mini desserts.

I so hoped that's the way it is! When I called a few weeks ago, I was told that lunch would be served at GFC just as always, that only breakfast and dinner were changing. I was so disappointed as I was hoping to get a look-see inside Citricos by having lunch there. From what they told you, it sounds like I ought to call back!

I was told breakfast and dinner character meals would be held at GFC, no lunch. Breakfast and lunch will be at Citricos, 1 TS like GFC normally is, and dinner at Citricos 2 TS as it normally is.
