so I'm wanting to try some new places. any comments on these 2? I am very interested in the GF Cafe burger if anyone has tried it :rolleyes1

The GF Cafe burger is really good, although I always take the lobster pieces and each them on the side instead of on the burger itself. It's fun. It's a good amount of lobster. For Captain's Grill, the lobster roll there was really good. Everything else was pretty much not. I think GF cafe is better.

We have been to both for breakfast and dinner

GFC is great for both! The food is great, excellent service and a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is very quiet and if you sit in the back room you can have a view of the monorail

CG is great for dinner, loved the pork chop. Didnt care for breakfast at all

We ate at GF Cafe and Captain's Grille this past Autumn. I had the GF Burger with the lobster, asparagus and hollandaise. Let me tell you, it was delicious! Unique! I didn't try to eat it by hand, though. I cut it into pieces and ate with a fork. DD had the spice-dusted tuna, and said it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Service there was highly polished and I felt we received genuine personalized service. We both wanted coffee with our dessert, and server brought us a pressed pot service, even though DDP didn't cover that. It was delicious coffee, and the server really went the extra mile for us.

We had dinner at Captain's Grille at the YC. I had the Grilled NY Strip and my DD had the Snow Crab Legs. Her entree was a little too much food for her, but both meals were delicious. We were also impressed by the desserts there.

Both restaurants are worth a visit, to try something different. We were also impressed by our first time visit to Kouzzina. We had some outstanding food there! :)

We've eaten at CG many times. I like the soupand salad combination and the lobster sandwich. My son loves the burger. Hope you do, too.

:)

thanks, I think I will definitely be trying them both. my mouth is watering and can't wait. :yay:

I have been to both and GF Cafe was my least favorite. I had the Grand Floridian Burger and the lobster, hollandaise, and asparagus was so good but the burger was just eh...I didn't eat the bun and barely ate the burger meat. It was dry and not that good. The side dish was literally just chunks of tomato with red onion, no sauce or anything. It was not good, try to get a different side item if you can. We were also in and out in 30 minutes!!! They really rushed us through and I didn't like that.

Captains Grille was wonderful! It was more of an experience. I got crab legs and that was really good, but if you are looking for a lot of crab legs just go to Cape May. Captains Grille is definitely more expensive. We paid for GFCafe out of pocket, maybe try doing that. I enjoyed Captains Grille more because it was more elegant and the food was better.
