Grand Floridian Building 6 Closure in Sept.

I see that this building at the Grand Floridian will be closed in September. I've arranged for a half day spa treatment for my wife at the Grand Floridian and am just wondering if this will affect it in any way. Any ideas? I've never been to the Grand Floridian and so don't really know what building 6 is.

Bldg 6 is the Sugar Loaf Concierge bldg - in other words, it's a bldg full of guest rooms. If it is in fact closed in Sept, it shouldn't have any effect at all on the spa, which is in an entirely different building.

You can see Bldg 6 near the top, and the spa is at the bottom left, across the street from the GF.

I was just at the GF and I have no idea what Building 6 is. The lodge buildings where people room have specific names. As for the spa, it is housed in its own separate building.

Where did you get this info? We have reservations for Sugarloaf in late September and have not been notified of any changes. Thanks.

I found it over at Mouse Planet. I'm not able to post the URL, but you can find it under WDW park updates (click the most recent one) and refurbishments/attraction closures.

Seems like a reliable source. Looks like a restaurant is being refurbished too. However, just because it says something on a website doesn't always make it true. I'd say call WDW and ask them. Hoping your plans aren't affected....
