Grand Floridian Booking At 7 Month Window

We bought into Saratoga Springs. I would really like to try all of the dvc resorts. I would like to in May or June of 2017 try Grand Floridian for a week. Do you think at the 7 month window I would get the Grand Floridian? Any help would be helpful!! Thank you

Possibly. I got a studio last year at 7 months for the week before Memorial Day.

Might depend on the room type, but I would think June school vacation time for a full week would be doubtful. A week could pop up, but it seems is usually more days here and there at 7 months. Plan on waitlisting if you could get some of the days.

In past, a VGF studio or 2BR lock-off has been missing 3 to 5 nights a week first half of May at 7 months out, 2-3 nights a week between mid-May and Mid June, and 3 to 5 rest of June, with the possiblty of getting lucky for a full week and the possiblity that wait list could work.

If you want a dedicated 2BR, it is usually open 7 months out the entire 2 months.

I have successfully booked a dedicated 2 bedroom at VGF for a week two times now at the 7 month mark. Both were in the spring.

The lock-off two bedroom has never been available - the studio portion is usually always booked up before the 7 month window opens.

The 1 bedrooms were also open at the 7 month mark.

We loved staying there. It is a splurge though - the points for a week in a 2 bedroom are very high

We also own at SSR, but will be staying in a dedicated 2 bd at VGF for the third time this Feb. I go online at 8am on the 7 month mark. It's my favorite resort now. I wish you good luck.

Like others who've replied, I was able to book VGF 2 dedicated 2 bedroom at the same time of year you're interested in. We did this earlier this year. At 7 months, only std view and lake view studios, and the 2 bedroom lock-offs,had missing days for the week. 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms were available. It's very nice. I'd do it again.

At 7-months I was able to move 11 nights from Kidani to a standard view dedicated 2 bedroom at GFV during the summer of 2016 I am going to call in a few days to see if I can extend it another 4.

It's possible...but since grand florian was built rather small it makes it very difficult.

I can already see it's much easier at Polynesian with the 300
Studios.

But I fully believe that they will convert old gf buildings...probably big pine and boca chica...in the fairly near future.

Perhaps it's best to wait for the ole "grand"

As others have said it would be difficult but may be possible. We own at SSR and got lucky booking Thanksgiving week last year at VGF. I had to piece together the reservation, booking days here and there as they became available and using waitlists. It worked out for us, but it took alot of patience and luck.

Like others have said, the 1 beds are 'easy' since the studios are all booked. I managed to book 5 nights in a one bedroom crossing our use year (Aug) with no issues. So, I think if you really want to stay there without owning, own enough points to get a 1 bed. I think they should be open most of the time.
