Grand Flordian

It depends.
I often tell the story of my 1hr, 15 minute ride back to the Grand from DHS. We stopped at CR, POLY and there were multiple wheelchair get-ons, get-offs at each stop. It was fine though, there was enough room for everyone to have a seat, and it was just nice to sit in the AC!

I did find while staying at the GF, that with any bus service, the same schedule prevailed (CR, then POLY, then GF)

Once you're actually on the road, it's about 10 to 15 minutes. Of course you have to add in wait time at your resort which can be in the ballpark of 20 minutes or so, and any stops at other resorts.

And remember, once the bus drops you at DHS, you'll need to walk to the park entrance, go through the bag check, wait in line at the turnstile, and so forth before you're actually in the park.

The standard advice is to allow about 60 to 90 minutes to get from one place to another on Disney transportation.

My record was 3 hours lol ugh that was a nightmare. My intial plan was to go to HS for a few hours before my dinner res at Ohana. Our bus ran into that big brushfire mess in May so he highway was shut down. I missed my fast pass for TSM and a special star wars event. We were stuck in traffic for two hours and it took the bus an hour just to pick us up. I was fortunate to have a seat..I felt sorry for those who had to stand. By the time I got to HS, I literally had to hop on the bus again so I didn't miss out on Ohana. My cell phone was also dead so I had no way of contacting the other members in my party to let them know I'd be late.

We made it to Ohana but I think it was my worst day at Disney. normally the ride should take 15-20 mins..3 hours is a bit much lol. It's a shame they don't install tv's in the buses to help pass the time better.

I will be as I said at Hollywood Studio and planning to take my Grandaughters to GF for dinner, what time should I make my ADR for dinner so I could get back in time for Fanstasmic. I will be visting WDW late April, not sure of the crowds.

I would say it depends, which restaurant are you going to dine in, are you planning to use Disney transportation or a taxi. April will be very busy if its around Easter-(extreme crowds), or it may be little less crowded if its few weeks before or after Easter (but still busy). We go every April and there were times when we could not see Fantasmic because we did not get there early enough. Also the buses going from GF to Hollywood Studios are very slow, there were times when we have waited for 45 min for the bus to come in the morning, I'm not sure about the bus schedule in the evening. As for the restaurants, depending which one you pick there might be a wait even with reservations, and then the service might be slow if they are very busy. Personally I would not schedule both on the same day, maybe you could take them on a different day, or do lunch instead of dinner.

We waited over 45 minutes for the bus once and then with all of the stops and travel time it took almost 1.5 hours. Probably not the norm but it does happen.
