Grand Cayman, things to do?

We have a cruise in August that has a port in Grand Cayman. We will have a 2.5 year old with us. We haven't signed up for any port activities, mostly because of his age. What is there to do in Grand Cayman for a family of three with a little one? Even if there's a public beach that's easy to get to. I mean, I'm sure we could just stroll around and shop, or even stay on board. Just wanted to see. I don't want to waste a stop and do nothing!

We did a submarine experience (pre covid), our little one was 4 back then and liked it.
We could have stayed onboard, as the lines for the tender in the afternoon were crazy long.

The turtle farm is a very common family activity.
If your little one swims well, I highly recommend the sting ray bay experience.

I didnt see the turtle farm as an excursion. Is it something you can sign up for once youre there? I had wanted to do dolphin or stingrays but he doesnt swim well yet and the minimum age was 3.

We did our own excursions when there but it was an option years ago.Not sure about now since Covid. It's easy enough to find on the internet as a self done excursion however.

We booked a stingray and snorkel through Captain Marvin's pre-covid. Their shop was very close to the tender port (less than 10 minute walk). They did a great job. Might be good for the parents and they did have life vests etc for those that wanted it when in the water. Some folks on our boat actually just stayed on the boat and didn't get off except for the stingray adventure. It was fun. I don't know if they are still operating or at what capacity but I am sure you can google and find them.

The turtle farm used to be a DCL excursion, but they removed it a number of years ago (not as a result of COVID) and it wasn’t available through DCL when we did our Western in 2019. In addition to the turtles, our kids like meeting the birds in the aviary.
