Hi everyone,

Just a quick post to let you know of our experience with our trade to Grand Cayman Island.

We stayed at the Plantation Village Beach Resort this past April for the second time. The last time we were there, there was very little beach left. This time, there was none. We still like the resort, it’s dated but clean and close to everything but you have to go to the public beach a couple of miles away.

While we were there, we took a drive to see what the Royal Reef Resort was like. This resort is much newer and has a GREAT beach. The only issue I had with this resort is that it is so far away (about 45 minutes) from seven mile beach, where all the stores and restaurants are located. If you want to stock up on groceries once and enjoy the peace and quiet, that’s the place.

Thanx for the report! More importantly, I am also a Vette lover. I was deciding between DVC and a Z06. DVC won, but in about two years after DVC is paid.......It's Vette time! I am fortunate, as my wife loves DVC, and Corvettes.

Mdtigger99,
When did you put in your request for the exchange and how long did it take to get it? Was this your 1st / only choice?

Eagle, we put in our request at least 11 months out probably more. Plantation Village was our first choice with Royal Reef as our second. We have to fit this into our daughter’s spring break so we only had a two week window to work with. We didn’t find out that there was an available trade till Jan 03. I’m sure that if we could have been more flexible with dates, we would have gotten a trade sooner.

We really love the Caymans and would stay at either resort, but prefer the Plantation because of its location. The public beach is not far and it’s not crowded especially during the week.

Maistre, that means you can get a C6! You’ll be da man dude. When I saw the anniversary red vert looking at me it was love at first sight and when she whispered 0% for 60 months, my knees got week and the next thing I knew I was going topless down the road headed home. BTW, we lived in Brookfield for years.
