Never been to Grand Cayman. Looking for good snorkeling beach anyone could recommend. Also anyone know if there is a catamaran available on the island? (We can't do catamaran while in cozumel due to conflict)

Thanks for info

Take a right off the pier, down a short walk is Abanks divers....nice little snorkel area there, lounge chairs, restarunt and bar too ; )

Thanks! that sounds very close & convenient.

I was checking the grand cay's web site as well and notice a beach called 7 mile beach. Have y ou ever snorked there?
They also mentioned a company who rents jet skiis by the 4 hour know anyone who's tried this?

We've rented a boat once and snorkeled all over 7Mile Beach Area. We just tied up to bouyies (sp?) buoyies and jumped in. We did Cheeseburger Reef, Cemetary reef...we used the offshore snorkeling guide on Cayman Island Discounts

I'm sure you could do the same on jetskiis:D

4crusinransiers: Is that a public beach there that you can just walk to to swim and hang out?

Yes, its a public area, kinda rocky but there is a small step area to get in and out of the water and some decent snorkeling. The chairs are in a small sandy area if you want to use them there is a small charge, which when we were there they waved if you ordered drinks and snacks from the eatery. ( or you can spread your towels out and lay in the sand )My boys 9 and 11 did a resort coarse at Abanks and Scuba dove to 40 ft ( my husband and I are bot advanced certified divers) I was happy with the service here and it was a heck of alot cheaper than disneys diving. Nice place to hang out.
