Grand cayman excursion through DCL

Hi guys,

We're taking the grand cayman 7 mile beach break with DCL(DH, myself & DD 2.5 yrs old) & the only time available was 11:30 - 4 p.m. & the ship leaves at 4:30. How will that work out timing wise, I mean, what if the transportation is delayed, thats only a 1/2 hr leeway + its a tender port? I'm concerned about how this will work out "perfectly" time wise. First time on DCL, have heard the ship waits for you but then if the port authorities need the ship to leave it leaves

We did the 7 Mile BB on our 1st cruise (non DCL) thru the ship. We paid a lot of $ ($35-40/pp I think) & it didn't even include the taxi fare. Anyway we realized as soon as we got off the ship, there were offers for the same thing for $5 pp to go to the Marriott's beach area, included chairs and a rum punch. We did it on our own for our 2nd cruise and realized how much we overpaid the 1st time.
Taxi's are plentiful along 7 mile beach and it's only a 10 min ride from the port area so you can go there earlier and leave earlier, when you choose.
