Grand Canyon on a Budget

We are planning a GC, Sedona, Phoenix trip in April. Any suggestions on where to stay in Sedona with 3 kids? Thanks!
We found a townhouse on vrbo... There are many timeshare rentals there. We also have 3 kids, and I always try to get homes/ condos, hotels just aren't fun with 5 people! Check quickly, though, we had limited inventory to choose from, but we are going Easter week.

On another note, we are going to have to delay our departure by a day because of something that came up just last night! Thank goodness SWA doesn't charge change fees. So, that means we won't have time for 2 nights/3 days in Page. Is it worth the extra drive time just for 1 night/ 1 1/2 day? Maybe just lower antelope canyon? We really wanted to go on the rafting trip, too

We stayed at the Orchards Inn. Great location! They have rooms with 2 queens, and the website says you can add a rollaway. Their AAA rate is halfway decent, but it depends on your budget. Sedona is pricey!! We had a balcony room with a view and enjoyed it. Good luck!

Yeah - I think I would still go. I bet you can juggle and fit things into 1.5 days. The drive is kinda fun imo. BTW - there is a stop on your way where you can see dinosaur tracks or something of that nature. It wasn't super great, but it broke up our drive a little. Will see if I can find the info.

I am sorry I won't have to time to visit Page..... it looks so cool..... I was considering driving there just for a tour, but was advised that the distance and time would really be rushing with our current plans... one other thing, the last time we visited (PHX-GC and so forth) we planned to stop at 'smaller' sites of interest along the way, to break up drives. We loved Oak Creek Canyon,Walnut Canyon, the extinct volcano park(?) the painted desert, there was just so much scenery it was hard to pick only a few-

On our extended family trip some of us stayed at the Wyndham Sedona timeshare. Others stayed at the Arroyo Roble Resort timeshare. Wyndham was newer and nicer but Arroyo Roble was in a better location (along Oak Creek).
